ITALIAN Cucuzza – Long Snake Gourd | High-Quality Seeds
A traditional Italian heirloom gourd, also known as Cucuzza, Loggi, Lauki, Lau, Kodu, Doodhi. This vigorous climber produces long, slender fruits that can grow up to 2m, but are best harvested at 50cm for firm, courgette-like texture.
Grown on frames for straight fruits or trailed along the ground where they may curl. Both the fruits and young shoots (tenerumi) are edible – perfect roasted, mashed, in soups, with pasta, or as Sicilian jam (marmellata di zucca).
